Good Chinese
I've eaten here a few times, mostly for weddings receptions and have only had great experiences. My favorite is always their first appetizer course which consists of cured meats, jellyfish(?), and pickled vegetables. Their lobster sauteed in garlic and salt is absolutely delicious! The only qualm I had was with the taro dessert. It was mushy, too sweet, and looked really gross.

The service was wonderful despite the many requests my tables always seem to have. The waiters put up with a lot!

I definitely recommend coming here for delicious, sit down Chinese food.

Yummy Fro-Yo
Pinkberry isn't the best original tart yogurt flavor I've had but it's pretty close. I love that they now have unlimited toppings - such a better deal than before but definitely still pricey for just frozen yogurt. HOWEVER, the other day I happened upon the store around 5 and noticed a sign for Happy Hour. They had 50% frozen yogurt!!! All of a sudden, I was in love with Pinkberry again.

I had a mix of original and watermelon (refreshing!) with unlimited toppings. It was just perfect for a hot San Diego day.

Small Museum
After living in NY and going to the Moma and MET, the San Diego Museum of Art seems extremely small in comparison. It's definitely understandable but I hope one day their collection will be bigger. It seems like they do a good job with getting special exhibitions. I was able to catch the Heroes and the Toulouse-Lauctrec on my last visit.

I love that they participate in the rotating Tuesday free museum days at Balboa Park. San Diego residents get in for free on the third Tuesday. It's definitely worth it to come and roam the museum.

Good & Cheap Chinese
To Go Area - They have a wide variety of entrees you can choose from. Some of my favorites are their green bean, eggplant, kung pao chicken, and orange chicken. The best part: the price! If I remember correctly, it's about $5 for a 2-item entree and $6 for a 3-item entree AND the servings are huge! The to go area has good roast pork as well.

Restaurant - I love coming here for the lunch specials. My favorite dish is the sweet and sour fish. It's perfectly fried and topped with a perfectly flavored sweet and sour sauce.

Best Rolled Tacos
I always have a craving for rolled tacos and it's almost the only thing I order in taco shops all over San Diego. But none of them compare to the rolled tacos with guacamole at Taco Fiesta, they are the absolute best and trust me I've looked for places closer to home where I can have my rolled taco fix and so far nothing.

Once in awhile I try the tortas, tacos, burritos and other things. But when the craving is very strong, I just have to drive there for those rolled tacos with guacamole and the yummy chili sauce. The shop is open 24 hours so no matter when the craving hits, you can satisfy it.

Delicious Banh Mi
They have some of the best banh mi (Vietnamese baguette sandwiches) in San Diego. I love the grilled pork sandwich or the special sandwich with the cured meats. I think the secret to their delicious sandwiches are the fresh baguettes cooked right on the spot. My parents always come here to get french baguettes since they opened.

It's pretty cool to note that they have a drive-thru. I've never been through it but definitely plan on it the next time I visit.

Great place for a cheap eat that's delicious and filling.

Good Chinese Food
This place has good Chinese food. I recommend going with a group of people and getting the family special. I think this is the best deal and highlights the better dishes on their menu. Besides the great family deal, I highly suggest the following:

Lobster or shrimp garlic salted - the thick crispy layer of garlic on the shells is delicious
Walnut shrimp - always a great dish
Ginger and onion steamed fish

Plenty of parking spaces and the service tends to be very warm. It looks a bit run down but don't let that deceive you and prevent you from getting some good Chinese food.

Mediocre
Came here recently to try it out because we had a coupon. I thought the buffet was definitely not one of the best in San Diego. I think Sunrise and East Buffet definitely beat it hands down.

The buffet included Japanese, Chinese, and American food. Japanese was mainly the sushi - spicy tuna roll, Carlifornia roll, and shrimp and tuna nigiri. Chinese was the typical beef and broccoli, potstickers, noodles, orange chicken, etc.. American was roast pork, wings, sweet potato, and more. There was a salad bar as well.

Nothing really stood out in terms of the food. It was edible.

They do give a beverage free with purchase though.

Of special note, this place is now called Great Plaza Buffet.

Sushi and a movie
Sometimes I am satisfied with one roll of sushi, some edamame and that's it. But other times I want so much more than that, and that's when I head to Onami. I like everything they have to offer, from the seaweed salad to the sushi, sashimi, shrimp, udon, fried rice, teriyaki chicken, pastries, desserts and green tea ice cream. I can easily spend an hour there just eating and when I leave I don't get the uncomfortable too full feeling.

The restaurant is located in the Mission Valley shopping mall, so it's very convenient and afterwards you can go to see a movie or go shopping.

Foodgasm
Just went here for lunch today and I have already made plans to come back for dinner. The atmosphere is great - some of the seating is actually really comfortable couches and the Moroccan theme is well covered but not tacky. There's a cute waiting area/lounge with books.

Food:
B'stila roll - stuffed and baked phylo that is the perfect blend between salty and sweet. It's heaven.
Lamb sandwich - I have died and gone to heaven. I think this could arguably be the best lamb I've had in my entire life. I can eat this for days on end.
Seafood tagine - I thought the sauce was average. However, the cous cous, when mixed with the garnish is definitely worth it.

The service was wonderful too! Loved the waiter.

Great Mexican Market and Deli
Their grocery deals are hit or mess but definitely come here if you're looking to prepare a delicious Mexican meal. They will have all the ingredients you need and more! They sometimes have pretty good grocery deals so check out their ads before you go.

My favorite aspect of this market is their deli. The food is so yummy! My favorite is their lengua in the green chile. It is a bit spicy (making it all the more delicious) but so tender. The man at the deli will give you samples if you ask.

Best Mexican Food in Leucadia
This is easily my favorite mexican food spot in Leucadia. I've been going here for years...it epitomizes the perfect after surf food spot.

They keep it pretty simple here, burritos, tacos, combination plates...it's all quick and it's all good. Plus they make those great spicy carrot things! Those are awesome!

The only real gripe I have with this place is their hours...they close at 9pm....which falls way before my late night Mexi food craving time. If you're in Leucadia, don't pass up the chance to eat here, you can't go wrong with anything on their menu.

Great Happy Hour Spot
This place is great for Happy Hour. I love their theme days. My favorite is their Asian Monday. You can get pretty good sushi and great sashimi for cheap. Surprisingly, the sashimi was of good quality, definitely not expected from a bar & grill kind of place. The non-sushi items were alright but if you're looking for cheap food, it's a great deal.

This place has good, cheap drinks. The atmosphere is great. I love the open air patio. It's a great place to catch up with friends and meet people.

Great Lunch Spot
If you're looking for a fancy lunch spot to catch up with a friend, impress a date/significant other, or treat yourself, this is THE place to dine. Request to sit outside on a nice day. The patio seating overlooks the canyon/park area of Balboa Park; it's just gorgeous.

I loved all the food items my friends and I ordered.
Baby Spinach with Skirt Steak - This is definitely the dieter's gorge salad because it's definitely not healthy but it's so delicious. I would come back just for this.
Marinated Skirt Panini - Similar skirt steak.
Some kind of short rib dish - so tender!

Highly recommend!
